If you’re just getting started and are simply curious about what each step of this process entails and looks like, today, we’re going to break it down. Because with us, it's not just business as usual; it's business made simple, fast, and for YOU. Ready to dive in?

  1. Step One: You’re Approved!

After you’ve completed the application that we provided for you and you’ve been successfully approved for processing, onboarding can commence! Key word: “approved”-- it’s important that I note that you must be approved before we can move forward with the onboarding process. Easy peasy!

2. Set-Up Made Easy

Once approved, a VAR (Value Added Reseller) is automatically created for you. A VAR is a simple, single page of technical information used to get your business set up with the terminals it will use. Don’t worry– like I mentioned earlier, you won’t need to know this because we will take care of these more complicated steps for you.

Just in case you are curious about what these steps look like, we’ll get your VAR and generate any additional VARs if needed for your business based on the types of terminal(s) you select and if there are multiple locations or addresses where you will run transactions. 

If you will be using physical terminals, we always make sure to run test transactions and voids with live cards to ensure that the terminal(s) are working flawlessly before you get them. We then set up the software downloads into the terminal(s) so that your terminal(s) are 100% ready for you to use as soon as you get them. No set up or downtime required– we’re dedicated to creating as much simplicity and efficiency for you as possible!

3. You Have Options

As a client of Cardnetix, we will always make your business's specific needs our priority and set you up with the best solutions we can offer. Whether you want physical terminals or a super user -friendly online payment platform, (or as we call in the payment technology world, a payment gateway or virtual terminal), we have everything you’ll need to run transactions with ease!

If you’re going to be using any physical terminals you will have the convenient option of either renting or buying your machine.The physical terminals that we offer are some of the best and most advanced in the industry making them extremely easy to use. If you’re familiar with smartphones you’ll love how simple, intuitive and sleek these terminals are. We can finally say “goodbye” to clunky, complicated machines with long wires attached to them- phew! 

Once we have run live tests, set-up on your terminals and they’ve been successfully purchased, we will have them quickly and securely shipped wherever you need them.

Now– if you will be using our payment gateway option that we chatted about earlier, either alongside physical terminals or on its own, we’ll set you up with your log-in information, run some test transactions and walk you through a mini training on how it all works. Thankfully, the payment gateways we provide are also highly user friendly and easy to navigate. We’ve put alot of thought and industry knowledge into the selection and implementation of each of the payment options we provide to make sure that everything we offer works smoothly, efficiently and is super easy to start using. We know how frustrating it can be to switch to a new system that’s complicated or troublesome, so we’re determined to make it easier than ever!

4. Plug & Play– Literally

If you purchased or rented terminals and they’ve arrived, it's a straightforward plug-and-play setup. If you have an existing payment system in place that you’ll no longer be using, all you’ll need to do is disconnect it once your Cardnetix system is ready to go– ensuring you ZERO downtime in between systems. Switching over to our system is essentially instant! No complicated installations or configurations– like we talked about earlier, we've truly taken care of everything in advance for you.
